Well! Time surely flies.

Well, it has been awhile. I am already four and growing up fast. Since I last posted anything, I have been busy going to school, traveling to Gator's and Mimi's, and just having a great time. Dad hasn't had to deploy anymore and it is great to have him home. He and Mom even took the big step of buying a new house. It will be great, and I will even have my own bedroom with my own bed. Gator is going to come out to help us get settled. Mimi would come, but she is busy.

Speaking of someone that is growing up fast. What do you think of Lucy? Isn't she beautiful? Don't mind the Ohio State University hat. It's a thing between my Mom and Gator. Sorry about those Gators this year, Gator. Better luck next year. Anyway, Lucy has also been having a great year and she will have her own room in the new house. It will be in a new area and I may have to join a new soccer team and we are not sure about school, yet. However, it will be great living in bigger house. Maybe we can get a dog now. What do you think, dad?

I'll have pictures of the new house in my next post. Until then Lucy and I hope that you are having a great time like we are. Love, Thomas and Lucy

Springing Forward

Well, guess what? Mom, me and Lucy have been on another trip. This time we went to see my cousin in Texas to help her celebrate her third birthday. Did I tell you that I am already 3?

Anyway, this time it was Susan Kate's turn. We had a great time, but I think I heard Mom say this might be the last trip until Dad gets home. let's see we have been to see friends in California, been to Mimi's and Gator's during Snowmaggedon 2010, and now Texas all in a span of few months. Well, we had a great time everywhere we went. This is a picture of Susan Kate and me riding on Gator in the park.

Now, Susan Kate didn't have just one party. She had at least two. This one was at home with me, Susan Kate and Susan Kate's cousin Rebecca. There was enough cake for everyone and presents galour.

Her second party was a little fancier dress up party. Princesses and Pirates. Here are Rebecca and Susan Kate dressed up as princesses. Don't they look the part?

As for me, I wasn't buying the dress up bit.

After a while I got into the hang of things, though, and had a ball with all the other kids.

Here is Susan Kate with her second birthday cake. Again, there was plenty for all.

My Mom even joined in the fun and helped me put some decorations on a picture frame. I think this picture is Mom and me helping to clean up the big mess we made with all the decals spread over the floor.

Now for Lucy, she attended the party too, but gave out midway through. She just layed her head over in Gator's lap and went to sleep, so he put her on her blanket under a table so she could take a comfortable nap. This picture is of her little feet sticking out from the table cloth.

As I said, my Mom joined in the fun, and even though I wasn't buying the Pirate bit, she tried on my patch to see how it fit. She proved I was right. It does look funny and a little childish, but that is what I like about my Mom.

Well, Lucy didn't spend the entire party under her table. Here she is with her own little princess crown. Lucy and I are not sure if we will ever have a party like this. Gator called it a little over the top, but my Aunt Kimberly insisted she could have done so much more. I can't wait for Susan Kate to turn four.

Finally, after a long weekend of parties, here are Susan Kate and I enjoying a few realxing miuntes before bed. It was a great weekend and I hope your's was as much fun as Lucy's and mine. Wishing you all the greatest of times. Love, Lucy and Thomas

SNOWMAGEDDON 2010

Well, Lucy and I got to travel with my Mom on one of her business trips back to the east coast and to stay with Mimi and Gator. Boy! Did they have a surprise for us; Snowmageddon of 2010. This is picture of the backyards. Isn't it beautiful. Of course this was just before the electricity went out because one of those large snow laden branches came down on the power lines. With this much snow, it took them a long time to clear the roads and the electricity was off for 36 hours; long enough for the temperature in the house to get down to 53 degrees. Brrrrr!

This is a picture of Mimi and Gus helping to clear the driveway so Lucy and I could get to the house. I guess Gus was not really helping; he was supervising. How do you like Mimi's hat? Doesn't she look as warm as toast?

Fortunately, Lucy and I got to Mimi's and Gator's after the great snowfall and the electricity coming back on. Here are me and Gator taking Gus for a walk. Gus had a hard time finding a place to pee. My advice to you is don't eat any yellow snow.

While Gator and I are outside, Lucy is inside having a grand ole time. Nice and warm.

Of course I got to spend a lot of fun time inside, too. Mimi even let me help with the dishes, although Gator said I was just playing with the water in the sink. What is the matter, Gator? Don't you think this is clean?

While we were at Gator's and Mimi's we celebrated Valentine's Day, and guess who got flowers? No not me. My Mom got flowers from my Dad. Boy is the internet useful. All the way from Afghanistan, Dad sent flowers. They brightened up the whole day for everyone.

While we there, Gator volunteered to keep all the neighbors' dogs. Sometimes we had more dogs in the house then people. Here is Gator sitting with one of his wards. I think everyone was having a good time. Dad, if you are reading this, Lucy and I agreed that this is the type of dog we would like to have.
Well, everyone had a great time at Gator's and Mimi's despite the snow.

Even Mom was having a great time, although I think that was more because she had Mimi and Gator to help entertain us, and the fact that Gator used Mom's expertise to purchase some very fine wines. Until next time, I hope you are having as a great a day as my Mom. She deserves it and so to you. Love, Lucy and Thomas

The Smithsonian

Well, the snow is still on the ground and it is cold outside, so after Christmas we were looking for some in door activities. Mimi and Gator took Lucy, me and Mom to the Museum of Natural History and American History. Boy, were there a lot of people. I guess everyone else had the same idea. In any event, there were a lot of things to see and we all had a great time.

Here I am looking at some of the interesting displays in the section about the ocean. Gator and I are trying to find all the sea creatures that are hidding themselves in this sea weed.

Next we went to see the insects. These were live grasshoppers that were moving all over the display. Creepy!

The part I like best was the trains, trucks and automobiles. Here I am looking at one of the train models with cutouts.

They even had a real steam engine. Wow! Just look how big it is.
I even got to sit in one of the cars. As you can see I had a great time and can't wait to go back and see the rest of the museums. Gator says there are a lot of them. Maybe next time it won't be so crowded.
Well until next time, when I have more pictures of our stay with Mimi and Gator, I hope you are having a great day and a great holiday season; I know I sure am. Love, Thomas and Lucy

Merry Christmas!

Lucy and I hope everyone had a great Christmas; we know we sure did. This is a picture of Lucy sitting in her new office. She said it was fine for now, but she is already requesting an I-phone and a computer. Just joking. She had a great time at Mimi's and Gator's.

This is a picture of Lucy in her bright red Christmas dress. We are getting ready to go to church. Unfortunately, my picture didn't turn out too well. I was complaining about something.

Here I am on Christmas morning. Santa was so kind to Lucy and me that I didn't even know where to start. Here is a picture of me and my Mom reading from a book that will let me read to myself. Isn't technology great. Anyway we had a great Christmas. Gator is playing with his new camcorder and as soon as he figures out how to edit the videos we will try and post some of them. Again, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Lucy and me. Love, Thomas
